Samsung Display registered the S-Foldable brand
It seems that it is time to see the presence of a foldable tablet in the market in addition to the clamshell phone. One of the manufacturers that will figure this out is the Korean company Samsung. MSPowerUser claims that Samsung’s new tablets will be available in early 2022.
Samsung clamshell tablet models have a Z-shaped display in the design, an example of this design was seen in some clamshell phones. Such a design could be a daunting challenge for tablet manufacturers due to the larger screen of the tablet compared to the smartphone; But it seems that Samsung Display, one of Samsung’s main subsidiaries, has been able to meet the challenges facing the Korean company.
Samsung has registered the commercial display of the desired screen as S-Foldable. Given the good feedback that clamshell phones have had, and the fact that most of the major smartphone companies are looking to build and introduce a model with their brand, it is not unreasonable to expect the clamshell tablets to be available in the future.
However, Samsung has released an independent design of the concept of the clamshell tablet with a Z-like design in cyberspace to give us an idea of the possible design of the Korean company’s future product. Of course, the final design of the unannounced Samsung product may be completely different from what we see in the image above.
